I realize for this year’s self-love project I have a very real intention, to use self-love as the liberator to become more self actualized in my business at a level I never have attained before.
Michelangelo, when asked how he created his magnificent sculptures like the incomparable David, said that he would chip away all the things that weren’t his David. Today I begin the process of chipping away everything that is not me as my loving self.
What must go first?
Judgment! It is the big separator between us as inadequate, less than, incapable or unsuccessful…. or us as loving, deserving and whole!
What would it take for me to release self-judgment?
To me, in the beginning God was all there was and in order to experience himself experientially as the all-knowing, all-loving God he is, he created these jungles of time and space. Regardless of how stuck or lost we may be feeling some times, it never changes the fact that we are at our core and essence pure love. It is the heartbeat of all creation. We are student adventurers in this temporary jungle.
I love Mike Dooley and in his latest book he says, “just because we make monster faces in the mirror doesn’t make us monsters.”
It’s an essential chipping point to remember that we are not our actions, we are not our circumstances, and we are not our outcomes. We are not our failures or all the things we’ve been led to believe that we can never be.
We are children of God. To get past the stuckness we need only to remember this. A sweet taste of self-love is all we require to rise above the drama and stories we’ve mis-identified as being who we are, and give us freedom to spread our wings and become the great co-creators of our lives we were meant to be.
Our only requirement is that we allow ourselves to dream, then love ourselves enough to allow the Universe to conspire to make it happen.
I am ready to chip away the things from the past that do not represent what i want my next creation to be, and reveal the magnificent David awaiting to be revealed as me next. It is already inside awaiting the Grand Opening. And so it is.
